Not 100% – something using BPRE would be a quick get in and play for the day but there is also my own ruleset ideas for quick and brutal platoon stuff.

As for the setup, got a pile of Urban Scatter stuff and he does have a very nice hotel to be used…

Excellent! Glad to hear you had a good day too – it is 100% a show for people who can drive there/blag a life, the downside to using the showground.

I’ve spent a bit of time at home this evening reading Chain of Command V2, will be very excited to write up something about the changes – so far though, it’s looking good!

I was there too and have not yet fully examined my acquisitions, which include a Chain of Command Ready for Battle bundle (I’ve never owned or played v1). Under Fire Miniatures was a new discovery for me. I bought several packs of 20mm WWII Poles and Germans, for possible use in CoC.

I also found the most enjoyable part was talking to people. I’d been chatting to a representative of the Northampton Battlefield Society for a few minutes, mostly about the replica medieval weapons they were displaying, before I realized I owned some of his rule sets – which he sells through Amazon – and ended up buying a history book and rule set from him, both about the Wars of the Roses, specifically the battle of Edgcot).

It was my first time at Partizan, principally because of the impracticability of getting to the venue by public transport, but I was fortunate that someone was able to take me, and hope to return in October.

I’m really interested in trying paint pens as people keep talking about using them for doing camo. It’s definitely on my list!

Those are really nice- I use anything to speed up painting, coloured spray primers, contrast paints even paint pens.

I got distracted from Old World by some hobby about the house, but I've got some half assembled Men at Arms staring at me from the shelf. Once I've got them and my Made to Order models assembled, I'm only going to need a box of Knights of the Realm to hit 1,000 points.

Your post has really gotten me very excited for getting back to the process of getting the models I need for a game…
