Okay, yes, not skipping News updates again because Enemy Spotted studios also gave us a pile of stuff to talk about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, more information on RECON, the high speed pickup and play variant of InCountry<\/a>. As well as reminding us of the date, we also got information on two of the sets being released. The Covert Kill Team was shown off last week, but we have more info that they are armed with the ShAK-12 battle rifle, letting you slam 12.7mm rounds to take control of close quarters fights. There is also talk of rules allowing for you to covertly enter the battlefield before unleashing devastating firepower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To expand out the Ground Branch team that already exist in the InCountry store with some figures that actually have sleeves, the new Tier 1 Team looks to fill that niche. With NVGs, suppressed compact carbines and plenty of space on their rigs for specialist tools, the Tier 1 team looks to provide a set of figures that can be used in all sorts of roles in the new game system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RECON will be out on the 1st of August, so stand by for my thoughts when it launches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, who like coincidences?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the same day as Spectre announced their POD deal, Enemy Spotted Studios released their new and improved Print on Demand website<\/a> (while also taking the time to stick it to their rivals). Print On Demand from ESS is a separate website, letting you get your hands on a large amount of the InCountry range without worrying about stock levels – every item is available with a two week fulfilment period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How large is the range? Well, in addition to the Tribes releases, you can all get your hands on several Pack exclusives that have been released more widely (such as the INX Operators<\/a>) as well as some you need to be a member of the Pack to purchase (such as the 90’s Operators<\/a>). There are even some figures that were available through the INX kickstarter such as the full CIA Ground Branch set<\/a>. Finally, and most importantly, pretty much every set that is available on the main store can be procured via Print on Demand if they are out of stock – even including the new metal figures such as the African Regulars<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In case it’s not clear, I’m a big fan of people offering print on demand. Not everyone has access to a printer and not everyone wants to get involved with that side of the hobby, so providing access to figures in this way is key. Seeing as ESS’s figures are 3d sculpted, it means that they can technically keep their ranges going indefinitely, reducing the need to keep excess stock in the warehouse or continually update moulds as they wear out on the casting machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
