Spectre Miniatures Previews A BMP-2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The news from Spectre Miniatures this week is another addition to the vehicle range. Having had a BMP-1 for quite a while, a BMP-2 is the logical next step. After a digital preview on the weekend on the Spectre Discord (including a top-down comparison of the two BMPs<\/a>), we got the first printed photo<\/a> released this morning. No information on possible release dates yet but it is showing Spectre is continuing to expand its vehicle range, which makes more sense with the larger scale of Spectre Operations V3 against the older versions, meaning AFVs make a little more sense to include.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enemy Spotted Studios Release Security Team As STLs In June<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Enemy Spotted Studios<\/a> has announced that the June figures<\/a> over on INX QRF<\/a> (the Tribes project run by ESS) is going to be a four-man security team and two versions of a VIP (ideal for pre-capture and post-capture). These figures have been previously available as resin-printed figures from the official InCountry website and the print-on-demand store<\/a>, but these will be the first time they have been made available to print at home. If you want to get your own set, they will be available to Tribes Members during June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anvil Digital Forge Preparing NATO Special Forces for June Release<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Anvil Digital Forge<\/a> (the Patreon by Anvil Industry<\/a>) has previewed next month’s release and it’s one that a few people might be excited about. Although Digital Forge usually focuses on Sci-Fi sets, June will see them release a set of High Speed, Low Drag operators, all with various versions of the SCAR<\/a> (H, L and even the SSR marksman rifle). If you haven’t used Anvil’s releases before, they are both modular and cross-compatible with other Regiments releases (such as the Stalker set I’ve mentioned in the past) for ease of kitbashing. For those happy to do the tinkering, they also support multi-shell editing before printing, letting you toggle parts on and off (such as removing pouches from the plate carriers or elements on the helmet) rather than having to dig through 101 variants to find the parts. There will be more previews coming this week to show the scale of the multi-shell parts and should be released early next month!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black Hills Games Drops More Details On South American Police Release<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Black Hills Games<\/a> has popped up with a preview of the May release<\/a>, as well as full details on what it’s going to include. Designed to be suitable for a selection of South American police forces, the upcoming set will include 4 Policemen (three with M4s, one with a Shotgun), 2 officers in civilian clothing with Glocks and a prisoner. There will also be four modular heads, with two in baseball caps and two in berets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see in the image above, there style is definitely the older tactical look as you might see from multiple police forces in Brazil. With a classic AR carbine, the bulky body armour and that tache, these guys would be a great addon for anyone playing counter-cartel operations or (with a head swap) various other armed groups. These figures should be released at some point before the end of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combat Octopus In Final Stages Before Next Release<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Combat Octopus<\/a> has continued work on the heavily armoured Octopods, designed to compliment last month’s release with a team in more overt combat mode. These guys definitely look like they are ready for the stack, pushing through an area all ready for a gunfight. The first preview post<\/a> this week showed off the first two figures positioned next to each other, looking at how the poses complement each other without looking strange when on their own separate base. This update also shows a little bit of CO’s workflow, seeing as this pose evolved from a relatively stationary position through to the final evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

With the last two poses<\/a> also sorted, the final stage is preparing the heads (including a set with the classic panoramic NVGs), getting everything supported and preparing the renders to show what is included in this set. I personally think this is going to be a really good-looking set of figures for the tabletop, ideal for anyone looking for some well-equipped fighters. Expect to see them early next month when they are released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flytrap Digital Reveals Gunslinger Welcome Pack<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Flytrap Digital<\/a> will soon be launching a Tribes campaign over on MyMiniFactory <\/a>to accompany their Patreon campaign, giving more options for where you can get your Gunslinger releases. As part of this, Flytrap has designed a Welcome Pack to get you to jump in, with different sets for Gunslinger or Warpods. The Gunslinger Intro pack<\/a> is an extension of the upcoming Dead Zone range, comprising of three Sanctioned Operatives ready for the tabletop. With a selection of gear ready for adventuring through potentially high-risk areas, these guys should provide a good intro and another reason to join up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For existing patrons who don’t want to move to MyMiniFactory, the Welcome Pack will still be available there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modern Miniatures Is Building A Fricking Plane?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Modern Miniatures<\/a>, as well as assembling a vehicle campaign that is coming out next week<\/a> on the 7th of June, has also been hard at work on June’s release – a whole airliner. So far we’ve only seen this sneak preview on the Ultramodern Discord (although it is nicely painted up and with a render in the background) but I’m very much looking forward to seeing how that is split into pieces for printing. I know many people have talked about playing around aircraft but this looks like it might actually be designed to be playable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be out early next month, all ready to grace a runway near you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turnbase Miniatures Opens Modular Technicals Sign-Ups<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Turnbase Miniatures<\/a> has announced Modular Technicals<\/a>, an upcoming Frontiers project over on MyMiniFactory<\/a>. This looks like it will be releasing a set of Technicals ready to be printed, as well as several pieces of kit to arm them with such as the 20mm Vulcan, BMP-1 turret and Vampire missile system shown above. Full details of what is included will be revealed when it launches on June 6th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s been no secret that Turnbase hasn’t been the most prompt with its releases and there has been some concerns raised on the Patreon. Luckily, this has helped to illuminate what is going on as Turnbase has responded (although ideally, this would have been a news post rather than deep in the comments). The May and April releases are in the process of being finished, with June’s release being worked on in June rather than being delayed. Additionally, new artists have been hired to assist with the Patreon output, as well as a new manager being hired to take over the management of the Patreon and help direct what is being released next (Turnbase himself seems pretty burnt out after monthly releases since 2021). Hopefully, this should mean that the Patreon continues with some new releases coming on time in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
