This week hasn’t actually seen much hobbying unfortunately. Work has been busy, a few games got new updates (such as Ready or Not) that had me spending some time playing games – I’m sure I could class engaging the cartel with Flux Raiders as researching BPRE28mm tactics, but in reality, it was just some time away from the hobby desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it’s not all bad news. I have managed to get a little bit more writing done. The Shyluz Scout Platoon is well on its way. It’s actually going to be two lists – the main one for how the platoon is usually run in “regular” scouting units performing military roles, while the other is a little more sneaky-beaky for when they are performing cross-border operations. As part of this, I’ve also been scribbling a new short story for the scout platoon, something that would probably appear in both the upcoming scenario book and the main sourcebook. I’ve also started writing a few posts covering some pieces from a few of my favourite manufacturers, just need to gather some time to finish them off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bigger task, and the one that has been eating my week, has been cataloguing and preparing a sales page for all the MDF I’m going to shift. While it’s taken a while to get around pulling the boxes out<\/a>, It’s actually been a nice experience going through it all, remembering when I got it and a few of the games I have used them in (when I dared to put unpainted MDF on the table). However, looking at them reminded me of how much work has gone into them and how much still needs to be done to finish them off. I’ve grabbed the photos and put them onto the page, it’s now just about deciding how much to charge for them all and get it all laid out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, I couldn’t go a week without assembling something. While watching some TV on Sunday evening, I broke out the glue, turned on the magnifying daylight lamp that my Grandad left to me and now sits over my desk and put together two more Chaos Warriors. I actually have to get a move on as we have an Old World game day planned in September and I have most of a force to actually assemble and paint up by then. These two will be joining my Chaos Warrior block, bringing it up to 30 warriors – a truly ridiculous number but, as proven in the initial game<\/a>, was very distracting to players as it slowly advanced over the board. I still need to assemble up the rest of the warriors, a unit of marauder horsemen and another 5 Chaos Knights. And then I have to paint them all up!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
