Spectre Miniatures Previews Insurgent PMC Remaster and Spectre Operations Frontlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First up, Spectre Miniatures<\/a> has previewed the upcoming remaster of the Insurgent PMC pack<\/a>. These guys, designed to be a higher level of irregular than the rest of the range, come equipped with body armour, helmets and tactical uniforms as well as being armed with FN2000s and G36s (which led to an interesting discussion on the preview post). The original Insurgent PMC were some of my favourite figures from the early 3D-designed era, so seeing this new version is great. I’m interested to see the rest of the set as well as what the specialists will be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other announcement this week was more details on Frontlines<\/a>, the first expansion to the latest version of Spectre Operations. From the announcement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frontlines introduces a brand new, in-depth vehicle combat system, with over 50 vehicle profiles, new actions, such as Advisors, Blind Fire, Warning Shots and Rules of Engagement. New escalations are also featured, along with rules for mounted elements and trench warfare.
Multiple new exciting scenarios are also included, combining all the new rules and more!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

There is no date on when this expansion will be released so standby for further updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Austin Miniatures Shows Off The Test Prints From The Latest Kickstarter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Austin Miniatures<\/a> has shown off some images from the ongoing “Devil Dogs, Grunts and Frogmen<\/a>” Kickstarter, with some physical figures all painted up and on the table<\/a>. These figures are looking pretty great and would be ideal for building up your infantry squads (be if you’re going for Army, Marines or SEALs). Additionally, the Kickstarter has hammered through it’s targets, hitting it’s target goal and unlocking all three original goals (Germans with G36s, Brits with the KS1 and Aussies with the F88) as well as revealing that the final stretch goals will be modern North American Milita with chest rigs and a selection of gear. If you’re interested in joining the KS, it’s running until October 1st<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haywire Releases Version 2.0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A failure of my intelligence last week, I forgot to cover the fact that Haywire had released a brand new version<\/a>. This edition is a complete remaster, redoing both the rulebook and the piles of cards that accompany it in terms of visuals and content. For those not in the know, Haywire is a completely free solo ruleset from TheSoloWargamer<\/a> and you can tell it’s a labour of love, with the book packed full of wonderful photography which you may have seen on his YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a quick once over, I’d say this is a considerable improvement over version 1.0, with a much better layout, improved rules and a greater level of detail in its systems. You can pick up the ruleset from DriveThruRPG <\/a>for free and there is a playlist of introductory videos to get you going<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Urban Scatter Gaming Releases More MENA Walls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Back in sterling form, Urban Scatter Gaming<\/a> has dropped another set designed to help out anyone building up their Middle Eastern or North African tables. Walls 2<\/a> is a little more structural than Walls 1 which was covered last week, ideal for building up the exterior of your compounds. And as you might expect from a set inspired by the Battle of Fallujah (and I assume more a few rounds of Six Days In Fallujah), these wall sets include some shredded variants, with plenty of exploded rebar, piles of debris and shooting positions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It is also worth mentioning that the set does include an undamaged version of the walls, pillars and arches in case you want to do somewhere that isn’t quite so wrecked. The pieces are designed to be printed on resin printers (with plenty of hollowing out to save on material) and comes after plenty of pre-release testing. If you want them for yourself, you can find them on the Urban Scatter Gaming Gumroad<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modern Miniatures Releases T-62 To Patrons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Patrons of Modern Miniatures<\/a> got the first part of the September releases last week in the form of the T-62<\/a>. Designed to be easily printable (like all of Modern Miniatures’s releases), this vehicle comes in multiple parts all ready for assembly, including separate hatches. As you can see below, the kit also comes with some additional stowage and armouring options, ideal to make it look a little more lived-in. This includes multiple sandbags for the front of the hull and a turret rack filled with belongings (or some workshop standoff armour).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those waiting for the crew figures, there is a little delay due to some technical issues. Instead, they will be released in the middle of the month so a little wait if you want your fully detailed tank setup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desk-Ops Running Back To School Special<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
