Spectre Miniatures Drops A New Set Of Releases<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s that time of the month and Spectre Miniatures<\/a> has dropped a brand new set of releases. They manage to cross a wide gamut from Trailer Park USA to sneaking around the Middle East. So let’s kick off with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First up, the Trailer Defence Force. Available in both STL <\/a>and Physical <\/a>formats, the Trailer Defence Force is a group of suspects to deal with in the local trailer park. Armed with a mix of firearms and melee weapons, this group has a nice mixture of body types (based around the theme of “Meth”), letting the sculptor really show off what he can do. I’m not personally into US Policing-style games, but if that is the type of scenario you’re looking for, these guys will give you something different from hunting down bank robbers. It will also provide a more interesting challenge for your players, especially if you’re using a ROE – luckily Spectre Frontlines<\/a> (coming soon) will include some additional rules for that sort of operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in the realm of Operators, we have the first full pack of Task Force Nomad. Using the same style as the past two limited edition models (the V3 release figure and the Spectre Frontlines pre-order Drone Operator<\/a>), this four-man team (available as both STL<\/a> and Physical<\/a>) is all ready for combat. Armed with suppressed SIG MCXs refitted for AK mags in order to keep sustainment easier, the mix of Western tactical gear and local outfits should make them a cool set to put into combat alongside regional forces. In addition to the rifle, there are a few other weapon options for force multipliers, including a Knight Armament LMG and a disposable M72 for anti-armour and anti-structure work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In case the main team is too overt, there is also the Covert team. Including an update to one of my favourite figures from the cast metal days (and a frequent appearance on the blog), this pair of figures (available as STL <\/a>or Physical<\/a>) are dressed in civilian clothing and carrying the FLUX Raider PDW. Previously seen on the BPRE 28mm Recce Raiders, this system has left an impression in the modern tactical landscape and makes a lot of sense for a covert team – slightly more practical than a pistol for getting rounds on target, but without the bulk of a larger rifle platform. I really like this pair, one feeling like a suitable update to the original figure while the other turns them into a proper element. I’m really excited to get these figures printed off and ready for the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Urban Scatter Gaming Enters The Housing Market<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Urban Scatter Gaming<\/a>, after a series of smaller assets from the MENA theatre, has now delivered a major release. MENA House 1 is a modular house designed for FDM printing. As you can see, the house comes with plenty of exterior details (including the bullet holes). You can see the breakdown below but with two variations (one with filled-in windows\/doors and another with openings for customisation) and with enough pieces to make either a single-storey building or two floors with roof access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building is currently available over on the Urban Scatter Gaming Gumroad<\/a> and I have a feeling we’ll being seeing a few more in this range (based purely on the fact that there is a number after the product title). Combining this set with the previously released decorative <\/a>and compound <\/a>walls should provide an excellent starting point for building up a MENA table, one with both building to fight through and a mixture of obstacles (especially if you include the Market Scatter<\/a>). Stand by for more releases (hopefully) coming soon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black Hills Games Previews This Month’s Release<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Black Hills Games<\/a> has shown off the next pack to be released the previously mentioned Bundeswehr Airborne Specialists<\/a>. The image above shows off two of the grenadiers as well as a leader figure and a Panzerfaust 3 operator. This set should be out by the end of the month, while next month will be a set of drone operators which the community voted for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combat Octopus Provides A SitRep On November’s Release<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Combat Octopus<\/a> has been hard at work on the Gothic Serpent Frontiers project (launching November 7th)<\/a> but has taken a break to update the Patreon on the goings on. Next month’s figures (a set of criminals in prison jumpsuits having secured weapons) are going to be a little delayed (pushing back to the 10th of November) to allow for the Somalian Shennighans to be finished on time. On the plus side, as you can see in the preview image above, it’s quickly shaping up that the Somalis and their American counterparts may end up being some of the best figures he’s made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turnbase Miniatures Drops More Previews<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Turnbase Miniatures<\/a> has shown off some more of the Special Forces from the Philippines<\/a>. It looks like this set is rolling older Western firearms (with marksmen rifles and M203s under M4s), combined with Fast helmets and modern combat clothing. According to the preview, the set will also include an LMG for the squad and Night Vision goggles for the figures. This is shaping up to be a good set that should make a squad suitable for wargaming and getting on the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
