Spectre Miniatures Releases Frontlines Expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Good news for all the Spectre Operations<\/a> Frontlines pre-order customers – the books have come back from the printers and have been distributed out. I received my copy on Friday – there are a few fixes from the original PDF release and is still packed full of new tweaks and additional mechanics for the latest version of Spectre’s rules. If you want your own copy, you can now pick it up over on the Spectre website with a collection of bundles<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Austin Miniatures Releases Middle Eastern Insurgents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Austin Miniatures<\/a> are continuing their modern releases by adding some OPFOR to go up against your collection of Operators from the last Kickstarter. These Middle Eastern Insurgents<\/a> come in the usual Middle Eastern Bad Guy gear (sandals, headscarves and chest rigs) with a good mix of weapons – AKs, RPKs, PKMs, RPGs and even an SVD. There is also a true believer figure in case you need a close-range surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These figures are already available as a set on the Austin Miniatures Gumroad<\/a>, as well as coming soon to Austin Miniatures print-on-demand suppliers (such as Design for Battle<\/a> in the UK as well as others around the world<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BobMack3d Announces Next Kickstarter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Yep, it’s that time again. BobMack3d<\/a> has announced the next Kickstarter that will expand out their range of vehicles for 3D printing, and this time we’re getting a set of vehicles for the British. Named Lionheart after the 1984 British Army exercise, this latest Kickstarter updates<\/a> the vehicle selection for your BAOR force to the late Cold War. The first example is the Challenger 1, a personal favourite of mine, and as you can see it’s up to BobMack3d’s usual standard. The set will also include 4 other vehicles (presumably one of them being a Warrior) and all will come with the usual stowed and unstowed options, as well as more variants included in the stretch goals. We don’t have a starting date, but the preview page is now up on Kickstarter<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fire Modern Combat Announces Competition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fire Modern Combat<\/a> is rapidly preparing for its Kickstarter launch in February<\/a> but they are having a little fun in the meantime. They are running a little competition<\/a>, with the winner getting their hands on the upcoming US Rangers squad of nine figures, with them being delivered even before the Kickstarter has even launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see above, it’s the usual “Expand Social Media Following” type of competition but does come with the possibility of a very nice prize. For more details, I recommend checking out their Facebook page for full details<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miska Miniatures Launches Red Dawn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Miska Miniatures<\/a> launched their latest Kickstarter last week, a pay-what-you-want for a key figure from the film Red Dawn<\/a>. It has done incredibly well, smashing its target goal and bringing in several times more. Thanks to the success, the number of stretch goals has massively increased, bringing several additional versions of the main character but now also adding additional elements such as Cuban and VDV guards. The campaign is still running for 7 days, and there are still a few goals undefined so if you’re interested, jump in<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combat Octopus Releases US Inmates and Rioters Part 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we finish with the latest release from Combat Octopus<\/a>. The second set of US Inmates and Rioters<\/a> brings us more firepower, with four additional figures with long arms and a big boy all ready to be the boss. As always, all figures come with several weapon options and all have CO’s trademark modularity to make them ideal for kitbashing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see from the breakdowns above, CO has gone hard with the different setups. The bodies will also be useful when combined with other sets, especially if you’re wanting to build up some insurgents or rebel fighters by taking these t-shirts and mixing them with non-croc-equipped legs. I was originally not too impressed with this selection when the theme was first announced but I can see plenty of use for these guys going forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
