Spectre Mythos has been renamed Spectre Cosmic Horror (with a standalone ruleset on the way) but more important for us is a change to the website. Everything rules-related has been centralised to a single place<\/a>, as well as additional pages for factions<\/a>, making it easier to get started and pick up the pieces you need. They have also centralised everything technical-related<\/a> to a single page, letting you secure what you need to support your force in a single visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We’ve also seen a shot of the new Spectre Operations starter edition’s box. Seeing as Spectre will be at Adepticon and Salute, it makes sense to get the starting set looking as professional as possible, especially if the next step is getting it on stockist shelves. The box shows off the figures and terrain and I can see it turn heads when it debuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To go with the previously previewed MACV-SOG, it seems that Austin Miniatures<\/a> will be deploying some Soviets to fight them in the upcoming Red Jungle release. These VDV operatives (as you’d expect for a war far from home) come with a variety of poses and weapons, mirroring the system shown off on the MACV guys to give you multiple weapons per body, ideal for the level of customisation you’ll need for a skirmish game. The pack comes with a selection of weapons, including AK-74s, RPKs, AKS-74U, an SVD, and the RPG-18. There is also a selection of head options, including helmets and the iconic Panamka hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you haven’t kept up to date on what Red Jungle is, prepare yourself for an alternative Vietnam where things get a little spooky. The game is being developed by Battle Tribe and these figures are ideal to go with the vibe the set is aiming for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Good news from BobMack3d<\/a>, they will be coming to Salute! It’s a real get-together as BobMack3d<\/a>, Flank March<\/a>, BattleGround HD<\/a> and Full Metal Miniatures<\/a> are getting together to run a Cold War game zone. Having seen the previews you’ll be transported to Berlin 1984 but as for what’s actually occurring, you’ll just have to see on the day. I’m looking forward to see what the game is, especially seeing the Flank March figures in the flesh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It’s also a chance to meet the guys behind BobMack, Bob & Brad, something I’ll be taking advantage of!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fire! Modern Combat<\/a> is in its final week on Kickstarter <\/a>with 61 hours to go on the clock. The Kickstarter has been well funded so we can all look forward to when the ruleset starts landing on our doorstep. However, there is still a little bit of time left on the clock and we may, with one final push, grab a few more of the stretch goals (I’m particularly interested in the Eastern Front lists). However, I feel that the team at SEN Games should be very happy with how well the campaign has landed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anvil Digital Forge<\/a>, fresh off launching their Special Forces Heavies earlier this month have given you a reason to stick around for next month as well. While the main release is Samurai (ideal for your Imperial Guard or Cyberpunk) the loyalty reward is going to expand out the Heavies with a few more items. As you can see above, you’ll be getting your hands on a full set of arms with the KSG shotgun (ideal for close quarters) and the XM556 Microgun (ideal for filling the air with 5.56 at a massive rate of fire). More details on what’s included will appear soon, giving you a full breakdown of all the multi-shell goodness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fresh off last week’s excellent SSO release (who are currently in my Blender file waiting for construction), Combat Octopus<\/a> has given us his first glimpse of the second SSO set, bringing some more mobile guys to the party to go with the shooters. And for anyone who, like me, wants every range to have multiple support weapons, this PKM gunner sprinting looks awesome. As someone elbow-deep in SP Tarkov at the moment, I’m a big fan of Zenitco’d PKM, especially when combined with the PKP to make the team look suitably varied while still packing all the force multipliers you need. This set will have four figures, with the rough plan being two high-speed guys sprinting and two more advancing. If you’re excited for these guys, you should probably pick up this month’s release first before waiting for next month to bring its goodness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Goggles Miniatures<\/a> has previewed the next set of vehicles coming to the Patreon on the 21st of March. As you can see above, it’s a very BAOR Cold War vibe with the Saladin Armoured Car, the Saracen APC and the Stalwart Amphibious Truck. All three are ideal for Cold War shenanigans, as well as a whole host of civil wars and low-intensity conflicts from Africa to South East Asia. If you want to get your hands on these, you can jump on the Patreon now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Modern Miniatures<\/a>, the eternally busy man, has put up the prelaunch page for a brand-new campaign. The RAB Boat (a heavily armed vessel previewed on this site previously) and it’s SWCC crewmen will be launching on Frontiers tomorrow<\/a>. Ideal for anyone who loves Act of Valor, this set should give you everything you need. It also comes with separate minis if you’re not a big fan of boats, but need some well-equipped gun crew for various vehicles. If you’re interested, sign up for the Frontier now<\/a>, and get messaged as soon as it goes live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An occasional visitor to this blog, WarDaddy Studios<\/a> this month released a set that caught my eye. Bringing 15mm US Armour to a 3D printer near you, this set includes the Abrams, the Bradley and two Stryker variants. These are ideal to combine with the recently re-released Western Platoon<\/a>, as well as a set of dismounted crew<\/a> for when everything goes wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Empress Miniatures<\/a> and Paul Hicks<\/a> have been hard at work getting ready for the next Kickstarter campaign. This time we’ll be returning to Arnhem but coming at it from a different angle – that of the Germans. We’ve already seen a few preview images, mostly focused on the special sets that will be included with the bundles. Something I am a massive fan of is how they are basing figures off historical photography, turning flat images into incredible sculpts. As well Lt Jack Reynolds (complete with flying Vs to the cameraman), this set above covers two British Airborne POWs as well as a German war photographer and his protection, all of whom are based on photographs from the battle. We’ve also seen an updated 37mm AT gun for the Germans, complete with three different barrel options (such as the Stielgranate 41).
