Spectre Miniatures Shows Off Updated FSB Killteam<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First up, Spectre Miniatures<\/a> has updated the Patreon with a new preview of the updated version of the FSB Killteam<\/a>. This figure definitely feels inline with the previous version of this team (still rolling the Ash-12 assault rifle and its fat suppressor), but with all the updates to Steve’s sculpting that we’ve seen since the original release back in 2018. The new FSB Killteam is going to be six figures strong, mixing the original guns (the Ash-12 and the RSh-12 pistol) with some compact AK platforms. These figures should be out this month and will be included in the monthly Patreon release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Empress Previews More Ukrainians<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Empress Miniatures<\/a> is going to be receiving some more modern Ukrainians. Based on the previews posted to the Modern Miniatures group, the master models are being sculpted by the same company behind the Wagner and VDV sets that Empress has released in limited numbers over the last few years. However, as you can see above, they are also going pretty hard with the Ukrainians, adding both Special Forces and regular Infantry with attached support weapons such as MMGs, NLAWs and Javelins. No details on when they are going to be released but Empress has been pretty good at making sure we know when they are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flank March Previews US Army Squad Specialists for Reforger<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Following on from last week’s exclusive sneak peek, Flank March has revealed two more figures that will be helping to form the Infantry Squads in the upcoming Reforger Kickstarter. In a post that covers some of the research that has been done for the sets <\/a>(including the difference between TOE, what was received and what could be logical to appear from the armoury in a Cold War Gone Hot), we also get to see the M203 Grenadier and the M60 Gunner. Both have some tweaks over the issued kit that were seen in the era (such as the 40mm bandoliers and the belt of M60 ammo), just to give a “troops in combat” feel to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Flank March’s sculptor Steffan is someone who knows that renders can only get you so far. So he’s also shown off the first six test figures that have gone to the printer with the assistance of Brad over at BobMack3D<\/a>. These six rifelmen are still work in progress, with plenty of tweaks to go in terms of support sand minor fixes before the Kicktstarter launch but does help to show how they look when printed – I will admit, I always thought the renders made Flank March’s stuff look a little overly bulky and rounded but seeing them in person, you realise it’s just the Curse of the Render. No details on a release date for the Reforger Kickstarter, but Flank March will be continuing on their weekly updates as we get closer and closer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Urban Scatter Gaming Drops a Trio of New Releases<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Urban Scatter Gaming<\/a> continues to wage war on my planning for the weekly post by delivering not one, not two, but three different releases this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First up, we have a pair of decorative pieces for your MENA collection. The Arch<\/a> is a great key location for your tabletop, a large central arch with styling flanked by two smaller entrances. You see these structures throughout the region, and it is a perfect addition to the tabletop. What’s even better is that it also comes with a destroyed version as well, complete with missing chunks, bullet holes and piles of rubble on the inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, the Arch needs to lead somewhere which brings us to The Square<\/a>. This piece is comprised of a paved area surrounded by chest-high walls (seemingly designed to set off the part of my brain raised on mid-2000s era third-person shooters) and three options for a central piece. As well as a central planter, there is also an obelisk monument (complete with an inscription) and a domed shrine, complete with some wonderful little touches. This is a great piece to help break up the urban streets, providing a focus element to an open space such as a park or meeting space, along with some cover to fight around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, after teasing us with it for so long, MENA Building 3 is finally out. We’ve talked about the ideal starting point for commercial streets for the last few weeks, and now we get to see the final version. With four different ground floor pieces, an upper storey apartment that can be stacked as high as you want it, a separate staircase to allow you to fight all the way up to the top and even several roof options, letting you do everything from low level commercial units, garages all the way up to dense mixed use areas. There is also a set of signs that you can print, both for mounting just above street level or up on the top of the building. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. Urban Scatter gaming is literally releasing everything you’d need for a MENA board and all in one place. All of these pieces are designed for FDM printing (except for some of the specific detail packs), meaning that you can, for relatively cheap, fill out a 6×4 board. While previous sets felt more residential, today’s releases add both the commercial dimension but also the all-important decorative element to make the city feel less artificial. Warfighter Miniatures Releases A Ton Of STLs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After a long time of inactivity, Warfighter Miniatures<\/a> (previously Anthalonica) is back with a set of new releases. There are 15 new items available, with a wide mix of Special Forces, policing, civilians (and civilian adjacent), meaning that you can probably find something to float your boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
