Spectre Miniatures Releases The Light Vehicles, Previews The Heavy Vehicles And Much More!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Okay, Spectre Miniatures<\/a> had a bit of a bundle last week with its news and releases, so let’s jump in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First up, as previewed and released to the Patron store last week, a trio of light SOF vehicles have been released. Inspired by various offerings from the Polaris catalogue, the RAZOR 2<\/a>, RAZOR 4<\/a> and DAGOR <\/a>are all now available on the regular Spectre store. Each vehicle comes with two sets of seats (one with an operator mounted, the other empty), so no matter how you want your vehicles to be set up for your games, they can easily be assembled to fit the role – they even come with an M240 on a swing arm. The DAGOR actually comes with a few more options as well – the standing gunner elsewhere on the store<\/a> will be needed for any manual turrets (such as the included SF M2 heavy machine gun) but the turret ring also supports any of the RWS systems on the Spectre store, such as the Land Warfare turret <\/a>with the 30mm cannon and Javelin ATGM to even the odds when riding arround in vehicles with less armour than my freshly repaired 2015 Ford Focus. All three vehicles are available as both STL and physical items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

However, they were not the only releases last week. As is traditional at Halloween, Spectre’s Spook got a new version. This time, he is rolling heavy, bringing a PKM and a Russian siege helmet that can be assembled with the visor up or down. Sadly, if you were wanting to get your hands on him, he has sadly vanished with the end of the Halloween weekend. You’ll have to wait and see what he turns up next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Over on the Spectre Patreon<\/a>, we have our first exclusive variants of mainline releases. Based on the Task Force Survivor set that came out with Spectre Outbreak, we have two tweaked sets based on what people have been requesting. One set removes the bulky rucksacks to turn these operators into something more suited for close combat, while the other prepares them for Spectre Aftermath by equipping them with respirator heads. Both of these sets are missing the AA-12 gunner, but they should be arriving soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With releases out of the way, let’s talk about what’s coming next. First up, and long-awaited, Spectre has shown off some more of the British Infantry that they have been working on. Still work in progress, the range is going to be using the current organisation so that the riflemen will be accompanied by grenadiers, L129A1 marksmen and L7A2 gunners. There will also be some additional packs to fill in the gaps, adding in equipment such as NLAWs for tank busting and additional gimpys. No details on how extensive the range is going to be, but we shall see soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, as mentioned a few weeks ago, Spectre’s armour pool is going to be extended by the arrival of two more T-64s, with the BV and the Bulat updating the venerable hull to something more modern. The BV (on the left) is the upgraded Russian hull complete with the Kontact ERA, while the Bulat, with its distinctive half-circle armour on the turret front, is a Ukrainian design. Both vehicles have seen action in the current hostilities in Ukraine, with the BV seeing action on both sides. These are definitely a worthwhile addition to the range, and I can see plenty of use for them on the tabletop.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

BobMack3d Previews the Kamaz 4310 for ZAPAD 84<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In preparation for their next Kickstarter, ZAPAD 84<\/a>, BobMack3d <\/a>has shown off the Kamaz 4310. This truck fills out the logistics section of the Kickstarter, coming with four different loads and an open-topped variant to be custom-loaded (or converted into a gun truck by the mad kitbashers in the community). The good news about the Kamaz is that it, like the MLTB, is a vehicle that has continued in service from the early 1980s until the present day, making it ideal to stretch out beyond its original Cold War era. ZAPAD 84 is looking like a really useful set, with the T-80U, BTR-80, MLTB and now the Kamaz. The Kickstarter project will launch on November 14th, meaning we probably have another preview coming. Don’t Drink And Paint Releases The Dark Wolf<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the next step of his figure releasing journey, Don’t Drink and Paint<\/a> has released a new character figure. The Dark Wolf, inspired by a certain character from a certain TV show that’s been on recently. This figure comes in two variants, each with both a BCM carbine and an M249 machine gun. The rifle is fully kitted out with the finest selection of attachments for someone using a BCM carbine, while the M249 is good for bringing the fire. Don’t Drink And Paint has commented that he’s refined his sculpting and scaling on this figure, intending for it to be better designed for 3D printing in 28mm, fitting closer with other releases in the space. The figure is currently available on Cults3D, with all four variants included.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Miska Miniatures Finishes Red Dawn: Revolution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Having absolutely smashed the target, Miska Miniatures<\/a>‘s latest Kickstarter, Red Dawn: Revolution<\/a>, has completed. Bringing in a total of \u20ac7382 (a total of 492%), the Kickstarter has finished with most of the additional stretch goals unlocked, giving you some Cuban engineers clearing mines and a ZSU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun to finish off the project. It is a rather sizable final result (especially if you backed at the Company level), giving you plenty of troops, weapons and vehicles for your force. The latest Kickstarter update says to expect the files after the usual Kickstarter delay, with Wargaming3D codes in bound.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Urban Scatter Gaming Teases Bringing The Heat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Urban Scatter Gaming may have been suspiciously quiet, but we’ve now found the reason. I’ve managed to recover this teaser image from the depths of the USG planning mines, and you can already see what he’s been planning. Using the Black Hills Games HEAT figures from last month, you can see that USG is going to be releasing an urban high street jewellery store, all ready to be the subject of a heist. The release will include plenty of details that you’d expect from USG, so stand by for more details soon. He has big, sprawling plans.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Black Hills Games Releases The PLA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

October’s release from Black Hills Games<\/a> has been finished and sent out to all patrons. The People’s Liberation Army set brings seven riflemen, all armed with the QBZ-95. All of them are equipped with the YMA95 scope (complete with eyecup), giving you the core of a reasonably well equipped PLA force. The set is currently available from the Black Hills Games Gumroad<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next month’s release is the companion set, bringing you the force multipliers for your squad. This will include all the usual suspects, including AT weapons, the various variants of the QBZ-95 family and more. More details as they appear.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Combat Octopus Drops a Spooky Surprise for Halloween<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Combat Octopus<\/a> is still on his trip (coming back later this week), but that didn’t stop him from leaving a sneaky surprise for Halloween. Launching in a scheduled post on the 30 of October and then disappearing soon after, this year’s special figure is a Tactical Witch Apprentice. Era appropriate for the Harry Potter series, this witch was unfortunate to be given the L85A1 (which is probably why she has already swapped to the wand). Traditional witch’s clothing is extended with a set of PLCE webbing, creating a fun figure for the season. The figure is also modular with a separate head, gun and wand, setting up some potentially fun kitbashes. As for anyone else wanting to get your hands on this set, keep your eyes on the Combat Octopus MyMiniFactory page<\/a> in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Modern Miniatures Releases November’s Sets, Including Bonus For All-In Tier<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Finally for this week, we come to Modern Miniatures<\/a>. As almost always, Modern Miniatures released his packs within the first two days of the month, with the SUVs, Boxer and CBRN Killteam being released to the various tiers. I previewed those releases over the last few weeks, but there is another set. For those who back the Patreon at the All In Tier, you will not only get the Killteam and the SUVs but also a set of figures working from the CBRN guys. This set has the hoods rolled down, ideal for the modular head options offered by Modern Miniatures. These guys come with some good old Mercenary-looking heads, as well as some weapon tweaks to make them even more suited for high-rate-of-fire action at close quarters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, planning for next month has already begun. For the miniatures tier, the ideas include extending the CBRN Killteam and providing some animals to fill in the background of any wargaming table. For the Terrain side, it seems like we might be getting more pieces for Eastern European shennighans, a follow-up to the Tarkov-style pieces from last year. As you can see above, Modern Minaitures has already come up with a few cool pieces, such as an FDM optimised pylon and a concrete roadway. We’ll see more details once plans are nailed down, but as you can see, we’re maybe in for a few cool things in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This also includes a further collaboration with Echo Dark Studios (the current people running InCountry). This will see the Escape from InCountry bosses get a rework, as well as more Modern Minaitures vehicles arriving on the Echo Dark Studios website<\/a> for their Print on Demand service.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
