On 2018

Well that was a year. I feel like a big chunk of it disappeared when work got busy, there are so many things I feel I could have done if I just had an extra 24 hours in everyday.

Rather than try and tell the story 100%, here is a more pictorial look at the year. Some things are pleasant events, some are just pictures I just snapped on my travels.

Visiting Newcastle to send off a friend to the actual Frozen North of Canada. Before driving back to Edinburgh in this.
A Winter’s Day Walk under Edinburgh Castle
Winter hit in about March, giving Edinburgh the postcard look
April I was back in London for Salute and my yearly trip to the National Army Museum
I ran Operation Dragon’s Hoard, my Skirmish Sangin demo game twice this year – in Feb in York and then again in April at Hammerhead
Walking home one spring evening
Fast and Furious Live – aka “They couldn’t possibly do that.. Oh they did”
Fire on Arthur’s Seat
Back Airsofting in the Summer – a wonderful break from work
And of course, no trip to Middlesbrough without a Shawarma Shop stop
Wandering around Harlow Carr on my week off in July
A trip to North Berwick for lobster with friends for a weekend escape
My desk – where my hobby comes to life
Edinburgh!
Edinburgh!!
Edinburgh!!!
I love this city
And then things got exciting
By which I mean VERY exciting – my first triple A game release
And there it is. My name in print during the final credits.
I also started another hobby – writing short fiction. Something I could do curled up in bed, letting the words weave the picture in the reader’s head. Seeing people like and discuss and talk about the things I’ve written, still keeps me excited

And through it I met a writing partner, someone to bounce ideas off. I really love the time we spend chatting to each other.
Christmas at home
Bringing in the new year in style – with giant pizzas and friends

Here is to a brand new year!
