End of the Month, so people are already looking forward to July and what releases may be coming soon. However, it’s not over yet – there are still some cool previews coming with more vehicles, more troops and more stuff for the Ultramodern Wargamer!

As always, thanks to the News Fans and other patrons over on the ChargeBlog patreon for buying my time to make this wrap-up each week. If you like these roundups and find them useful, why not chip in on the Patreon?

Spectre Miniatures Prepares More Local Forces

After a few previews of remasters and vehicles, Spectre Miniatures this week has shown off some new figures. The two are designed to fit the Local Forces faction, extending your support options to include an RPG-7 and (for the first time from Spectre) an SVD sniper rifle. Both of these guys also have their helmets slung from their web gear, continuing the rough and ready look of the original sets. I think the Local Forces are one of Spectre’s best ranges, so seeing an expansion to it with some more weapon systems is great – there are no details on how they’ll be released (as individual specialists or as part of another larger set) but this is definitely a set of figures I’ll be picking up once available (and once I finish painting the original figures sat on my desk).

Anvil Digital Forge Announces Loyalty Reward For Special Forces Release

After June’s release being Western Special Forces themed, Anvil Digital Forge has shown off the loyalty reward designed to keep you on the Patreon that will be included next month alongside the Daughters of the Rose main release. This addon STL pack comes with a selection of great new pieces to add to your operators, from new head designs, arms with foregrips and a selection of hands with different tactical gestures on them to larger changes such as a body with either a drone being deployed or a lit flare, or even a prone figure to add to your marksman teams. As with all Anvil releases, these are multi-shell offerings, letting you strip away parts from the core geometry to give you more options (with some examples shown in another preview post). This set is available for anyone who is a Patron during July, so if you want to have all the options for these SCAR armed fighters, it might be work sticking around.

BobMack3d Shows Off PT-76B

Another week, another preview from Bobmack3d for their upcoming “World Revolution” Kickstarter. This week we’re treated to the PT-76B, an amphibious light tank used worldwide by Communist forces in the Cold War. Mounting a 76mm main gun and with just enough armour to stop rifle calibre threats and shrapnel, this vehicle was designed for recce but often ended up in a more direct combat role. One specific place this occurred frequently was Vietnam, leading to the NVA adopting some modifications such as mounting a Dshk machine gun on the turret. Both of these versions will be included in the upcoming Kickstarter, with the basic model in the main goals while the NVA’s upgunned vehicle will be included in the Vietnam focused add-on. The Kickstarter launches on the 12th of July with the preview page already up.

There is also some other news coming out of Bobmack3d this week. First up, the backers of the T-72 mini-Kickstarter should have received an email over the weekend with all the files ready to print. Secondly, Bobmack3d has partnered with Heroics and Ros to launch a range of 6mm STLs for 3d printing. The first release is of a Swedish bent, with two models of the S-Tank, the lvrbv 701 AA platform and the pvrbv 551 ATGM carrier to accompany them.

Combat Octopus Continues Work On The Marksmen

Combat Octopus has continued his work on the upcoming set which will focus on a set of marksmen figures. This week has been a bit quieter due to some admin tasks but there has still been some progress. The figure on the left with the SVD in the tripod mount is mostly complete while the one on the right is a little more work in progress. However, it does show off a new weapon in the CO Armoury, a longer AR15 complete with a variable optic. There are still two more poses to be shown so standby for more details.

Modern Miniatures Reveals The MAT-V

Modern Miniatures already showed off a few of the items that will be in next month’s Patreon release. However, he hadn’t shown off the big ticket item until now. Yep, he’s releasing a MAT-V with a selection of turret options, both the 30mm remote weapon station and the enclosed 30mm turret. Not only are these items test printed but they are also painted up and looking awesome – one thing that Modern Miniatures is good at doing is making sure the beauty shots are ready with plenty of time before release. This vehicle is looking great, and even though I already have a MAT-V from Empress, I’ll definitely be picking up this next month to expand the fleet

.

However, that’s not all that is being released. Modern Miniatures has also been working on a MK19, a weapon that’s been missing from the 28mm releases for quite a while. The version shown off has all the add-ons (including a holographic optic and a light source on a mounting bracket but based on previous Modern Miniatures releases it’s highly likely those parts will be modular, letting you finally build up some Generation Kill humvees with the right mix of MK19s (all ready to jam) and M2s.

Turnbase Miniatures Releases The Rogue Element

Finally, Turnbase Miniatures has released the full set of Rogue Element Operatives to those who were backing the Patreon or Tribes back in May. This team of four operators have a mix of weapon systems, designed to fit in among your insurgents to give them a better-trained edge. These figures are out now on MMF as well, although the pre-supported files are not yet available.
