The Week In ChargeBlog: 06/10/2024

|

Shorter post this week, both because I was busy writing things and because I spent 9 hours playing Hunt Showdown. More details on that below… the writing, not the Hunt Showdown.

Before that though, a quick sidebar.

The MDF sales are still up – I’m going to do a larger push to try and get more of these things sold so drop me a message if interested. I am now offering postage for anyone in the UK (as long as I can get it into a box) so that should open up a few more opportunities.

First up, and what took up most of the time this week, was finishing off the first in a series of blog posts for the Patreons. In my time on Gunslinger I wrote up a significant of work that never saw the light of day, as well as several concepts for the overall world that we were never able to release in a sensible way. This stuff was sat in pile of notebooks that I found myself scanning through I decided to just get it all out there – I’m not really that interested in taking the Gunslinger 2030 world any further (I’d rather spend all that energy on the ChargeReal) so I thought I might as well make some money from it! Despite it all being written, it actually took a lot of work to get it converted from half-written scratchings to something vaguely presentable. While this first post covers the world and factions, the next post will cover something that was only ever attempted – how best to share the information as the figures were released. Finally, the third article will talk about a concept I spent a while planning with the potential of starting it but unfortunately never got around to it.

As for the actual painting side, nothing much actually got done. I did manage to apply some paint to both one of the Spyers and a few splashes on the Combat Octopus NAWE figures. Both are definitely in the “trust the method” stages but I really need to just sit down and finish them off. Luckily, the plans for Necromunda have been slightly delayed so there is currently no required task I need to get around to. This means I can bounce around a little more as to how I feel – the perfect way to paint (even if it’s bad for actually finishing things!).

That’s it for this week, with a new update coming next Sunday.
