Oh boy, did you think last week was short? This week’s post is even shorter and less pictorial. The combination of work ramping up, preparing blog posts and then a head cold that has been kicking my ass meant that I’ve not been in much of a mood to get behind the paintbrush. That said, there are maybe one or two things to write about.
Before that though, a quick sidebar.
The MDF sales are still up – I’m going to do a larger push to try and get more of these things sold so drop me a message if interested. I am now offering postage for anyone in the UK (as long as I can get it into a box) so that should open up a few more opportunities.
So this week’s hobby time has been all the way down. But I did still manage a few things. First up though, I just want to thank all the new Patrons who have jumped on after the last exclusive post. I’ve still got the other two in the series so hopefully everyone knew will stick around. It’s also telling me that the “it’s just a tip jar” attitude doesn’t work as well as I’d perhaps want it to. I think moving forward, releasing more Patreon-exclusive posts is going to be a higher priority for me. ChargeBlog is never going to be my sole income but it would be nice to take it to the level where my Patreon outgoings and server hosting are covered.
I also wrote more this week on the second Patreon exclusive post, digging out the details of the 2030 Arcs we had planned (or at least scribbled down the initial ideas for. As much as I have no plans to return to that setting, it is reminding me of several elements I really enjoyed and definitely will return in ChargeReal.

However, I did manage to spend some time with the paints out today while (once again) watching wrestling with friends. This time it was once again the Combat Octopus NAWE operators, assembled in Blender (minus the heads) and then printed out. At this stage, I’ve reached the wash and drybrush on key areas (tans and t-shirts) but I think I may go back and add a few more highlights on things like the weapons. I also need to work on my photography to show these guys off better and THEN I can go back to working on the rest of the squad. I’ve also been looking at the more recent Eastern European Deniables to assemble an OPFOR for them.
That’s it for this week, with a new update coming next Sunday.
