You can tell it’s summer as this week’s post is missing many of the big names (who I assume are taking a well-needed break). However, there are still plenty of exciting things to talk about, with releases, previews and more! Read on for all the details!
As always, thanks to the members of the Special Projects and Logistics Group, News Fans and all the other patrons over on the ChargeBlog patreon – they buy my time to make this wrap-up each week, letting me take the time to gather all the news, check the details on them and prepare them in one single place. If you like these roundups and find them useful, why not chip in on Patreon and help to keep them going?
If you’re looking for greater insight into the Ultramodern Wargaming space than the SPOTREP series of articles is a great place to jump in. Available to Patrons of the ChargeBlog Patreon, the quarterly update linked above provides plenty of detail on the current state of the market, as well as the current thoughts on the various companies and rulesets in the space.
Eleven Bravo Launches (and is funded) On Kickstarter

News from the Kickstarter front, first of all – Eleven Bravo, a new ruleset inspired by some of the major names in the space (Force on Force, Crossfire and Chain of Command), has launched its project on Kickstarter. This is a platoon-level ruleset intended for a variety of conflicts from 1990 onwards, with a bucket full of forces included in the core rulebook. Basic descriptions cover fluid reaction systems, a measurement light rules system, and support for 15mm to 28mm.
The ruleset has been written and playtested, and the PDF is completed and ready to go. The plan is to deliver books in September 2026, with both physical and digital options available as rewards – in fact, you can even sign up at the Lieutenant tier and get a set of STL figures designed by WarDaddy Studios (late 1990s US Army in MOPP gear and Iraqi Army for them to face). If you want to jump in, you have until August 12th to join the project over on Kickstarter.
Flank March Miniatures Previews Wave 2 Of The East German Stretch Goals

Flank March Miniatures has shown off a preview of the next wave of Stretch Goals for the East German forces that came out of the last Kickstarter BRUDERKRIEG. These previews came first to backers and those getting the Flank March Miniatures newsletter (which you can sign up for over on the Flank March site).

Aside from the commander pack, the main theme in the rest of the previews is the second-line gear that the East Germans (including the KDA Militia) were issued. While the main force got RPKs and the AT-4 Spigot ATGM, these guys have the DP-27 LMG, the belt-fed RP-46 MMG and the AT-3 Sagger ATGM. These are shown with the default heads, but I foresee them mostly being used with the KDA helmets that should be coming soon (an older design). These figures are being supported as we speak, with a full release coming in two weeks. But before that, we’re going to see another set of previews covering more of this great range.
Haywire Modern Previews More Details On Modiphius Blog

Haywire Modern has been getting ready for its upcoming physical release in September. As part of this, there has been a series of posts on the Modiphus Blog, giving some more details for those who haven’t yet played the earlier releases. The first post covered the basics of the ruleset, but this week’s post goes a little deeper into the team building, covering the different classes and units that will determine the type of team hitting the board. You can find more details on the blog, with the next post covering the AI system at the core of the game, or you can get your pre-order in over on the Modiphus page.
Pegasus Miniatures Shows Off Shotgun-Armed 14 INT

Another week, another preview from Pegasus Miniatures. This time around, we have a lovely job on the 14 INT figure with a Remington 870, a nasty proposition in one of the small-scale engagements that their ruleset “Contact, Wait Out!” is going to model. We should soon have all of the figures from their range painting, so hopefully we’ll be seeing some more figures on the table soon.
Combat Octopus Releases Part 2 of the 2000’s Era FSB Spetsnaz

We’ve seen all the previews, but this week, Combat Octopus has released the second part to last month’s Russian FSB Spetsnaz. Clad in all the cool gear of the Mid-2000s (Gorka Suits, Redut body armour and LBE) and with a good mixture of weapon systems for your close-quarters assaulters, this pack includes four poses ready for action. This set also includes two sets of helmets, giving you both the Altyn helmet and the earlier and cruder Maska-1 helmet – both sets include four visor-up versions and one with the front plate down and ready to go.

As you can see, there is a mixture of AKs for general use and 9x39mm weapons (SR-3M and AS Val) for higher-tier door-kicking. There is also one figure with an SVD for a little bit more precision, while another has a thermobaric launcher slung across his back for the opposite approach. As always with Combat Octopus figures, each pose comes as both a non-modular and a modular figure, with a common cut intended to allow you to mix and match body parts to build your force. If you want a set of these guys, you can get them by joining the Combat Octopus Patreon, with the matching set from last month available over on MyMiniFactory.
Modern Miniatures Shows Off First Generic PMC figures.

No big update from Modern Miniatures this week, but we have had the first few images from next month’s Generic PMC figures. Strangely familiar but suitably generic, these figures are intended to complement the Generic Operators range, giving you a good starting point to get some figures printed and get onto the board and are ideal for Modern Miniature’s modular head system. We can expect at least two more figures in this set, presumably armed with assault rifles and additional support weapons coming later.
Skull Forge Studios Releases Modern Troopers To Fight The Tactical Mandos

A surprise appearance from Skull Forge Studios this week. In between the Star Wars figures, Aliens PMCs and cool stompy robots, these Modern Tacticool Clones combine the aesthetics of the Republican Clone Troopers with all the latest operator vibe (even down to the hiking shoes). Panoramic NVGs, Galil-looking assault rifles and more, these are some cool figures that would fit perfectly against the Tactical Mandos released previously. These figures are now available to all Skull Forge Studios patrons via the link on Patreon.
Turnbase Studios Announces Sci-Fi Tier, Shows Off Next Gen Bradley

Turnbase Miniatures has announced some changes going on to the Patreon and MyMiniFactory Tribe. As well as a renaming of the various tiers, two new tiers are being added. This is because Turnbase is adding a new set of releases listed as Sci-Fi, with the initial preview being a modified Bradley, which has grown some legs. This will be available either through the new Sci-Fi tier or via the All Access tier, which will get you access to all three sets of releases.

For those sticking with the Ultramodern tiers, July’s release is going to be uniformed personnel, ideal for some interesting combat scenarios. Posing will be a mixture of static and combat poses, with the higher Tier including some non-tactical vehicles.
WarDaddy Studios Shows Off Updated Poses For Future Releases

Finally, WarDaddy Studios has been hard at work on some Sci-Fi pieces (including a rather cool modular tank), but has also been working behind the scenes. He has been looking at the basic mannequin poses that form the starting point for all the infantry releases from WarDaddy Studios. These are just the core poses (with none of the sculpting over the top), but the Ukrainian heads and gear mean we might be seeing another get to give even more poses for your 15mm collection. More details as the news comes out.
