    Projects Update: Summer 2024

We’ve passed the Summer Equinox so it’s probably time to update on the grander scale plans for my hobby time for the rest of the year. So far it’s not been the best in terms of raw painted model production, but as you can see from the blog I have been keeping busy. The current big project is The Old World. I am frantically painting up my army ready for our weekend in September where we’ll be bringing 1500 points for two days of battling – one as a series of smaller games while the final day will be one…

Lots of new updates on this week’s edition of The News Stand – new Spectre releases, more previews from pretty much everyone and even a new podcast to listen to. Programming note – The News Stand will not be here next week as I will be down at Wembley watching the wrestling. So expect a bumper edition when I get back As always, thanks to the News Fans and other patrons over on the ChargeBlog patreon for buying my time to make this wrap-up each week. If you like these roundups and find them useful, why not chip in on…

    The Week In ChargeBlog: 18/08/2024

This week has been busy as hell with the day job so I haven’t managed quite as much hobby as I wanted to. But I have managed to still get a few little things done – plus a whole lot of printing. First up, the sales post is still open. I have had a few people grab things (most of which are still waiting to be delivered) but there is still plenty available. I’m happy to chat about making deals if you’re grabbing enough stuff or you’re buying for a club. But okay, let’s talk about my actual hobby. And…

    The Week In ChargeBlog: 11/08/2024

This week was a real mix – although the big thing was how much of it was spent with the 3D printers hammering away and the other was how much time I spent staring at MDF. First up, it only took me 4 months but I finally assembled the sales post for all that MDF I’m planning to shift (and is currently filling the dining room). I will do a full announcement post at some point with a few extra details but if you want to take a look at what’s available, click the link above. Now on the actual…

  • Combat Geometry: Clash of Dwarf and Chaos

Combat Geometry: Clash of Dwarf and Chaos

Previously in my adventures into the Old World, we played the first game between myself and the Dastardly Regular opponent and I talked about the plans for my force. I managed to assemble a few more pieces, such as all the Chaos Warriors and the Marauder Horsemen to the point where the only thing I’m missing is the Chaos Knight command group. It’s a good state to be in, but damn do I dislike assembling the push-fit Chaos Knights. They are very frustrating to build, with parts on the spure that don’t make a huge amount of sense at first…
